HAPPY BIRTHDAY QAMARINA ALMAS :D

The memory: Ampang McDonalds will forever be the best McDonalds there can possibly be :)
*p.s. note the Ghost Head :P
The Memory: Our first concert together, Foster The People. The unruliness of the crowd was definitely a spoiler but the fact that we were together made it seem bearable.
This one's for all those phone calls and for being such a dependable person in my life :)
P.S. This is a super unflattering picture of me HAHA!
Lol I loved this picture because it just feels like some FRIENDS or HIMYM promotional poster. We should really try living together and film it.
P.s. I just realised whose hand is that positioned weirdly on qm? HAHAH cant be mine :P
Ahhh this must be one of those Modern Maths tuition days. The times of just laying on the beds and just sharing our worries of the world and just random problems.
This is a more recent picture. Your last year birthday :D Rest be assured after exams the birthday celebration is going to be bigger than the one last year and more scandalous :P
I'm noticing a consistent trend we have with our Thai Food obsession. How many times have we been to this place? LMAO!

THE BOX :'D
P.s. Now everybody count with me 1,2,3,4! :D Super LALA pose!

Dear QM (LOL get ready for cheesy overload) ,

Thanks for always being there (throughout those ultimately depressing/crying phone calls) and for always being so random. I could never imagine the Rory's without you or the Box. So here's to all the crazy things we've done together that shall forever remain fond memories (Our random conversations in class, Ampang McDonalds, Scraps To Wembley, The "parties" at my house, tuitions, rory hunting, and the tons of other things) . Also here's to the crazy things we're going to keep doing together till we're old grandmothers. I know things may change when September comes (haha cant believe I'm tearing up) but just know that where ever you are and whatever mess you're in you can count on me to be there to help you out (even if it maybe through skype, you know i give great advice regardless :D)

P.s. Don't forget we are partying it up from 15th June right up till that "time" comes.

P.p.s. LOL you're the first post of mine in 2012. How much do you love me right now hahah!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QM! :D

Love,
SHARANYA (only the most awesomest human being you know :P)

I've Made My Decision... FINALLY?

So yesterday was literally the most exhausting day I've had in a long time and all in the quest to register myself in a college to do my alevels. Okay so heres whats been going on, at first my option was to go to BAC like I mentioned in earlier post's but then my parents said we should check out HELP and KDU as well to see our options. Then just when we thought we were like 100 % confirmed on which one we decided on guess what we go and check out Taylors but the vibe in Taylor's was really not to my suitability. So after a whole lot of complications the decision was made for me to register in KDU. Finally! I'm okay with going to KDU but of course the nervous jitters are like hammering on the door. Well enough about being nervous its done.

Now that I've registered I have to make my decision on what subjects to take. Yet another decision I thought I had made until yesterday when a whole another wave of new information came to me. So my decision before new info was to take 4 subjects History, Econs, Accounts and Law. And well now my decision after new info is ????!!! Well I'm sure of taking History and Economics and thats about it. Also everyone is telling me to take 3 subjects thats like more than enough but if I really do want to take 4 subjects my fourth should be Mathematics (because its a traditional subject which means the UK universities love it and KDU has superb maths teachers to score in it). Okay yeah about right now people would just yell take it already BUT heres the deal me and maths have history and I practically swore never to touch it again ever.

Yet heres the deal I've been checking and going through my sister's ALevels Mathematics book and it seems do`able like most of the chapters that are on there are the chapters I actually liked in Add Maths. So i'm thinking to myself its not too bad of a choice but I'm scared just freaking scared and I dont know if its the smartest risk to take at this time when literally my biggest dream is on the line plus taking 4 subjects equals to my parents having to fork out more money and I'm not even sure about it. My parents have said its my decision and I think I've got my combination now Economics, History, Accounting and about Mathematics being my 4th hmph I'll need to talk to 3 people before I jump into it. Wish me luck!

Mind Boggled

Hey guys,

So yeap recently I got my SPM results well more like last week but thankfully the results was ok probably more than I actually deserved. My parents and others keep asking how do I do it? By this they mean like how do I not study and get what i get (well to them I never study but I do heck what are tuitions for lol just kidding) anyways back to the question, my answer to it would be I really have no idea. I wish I did but I dont. To even make sense of it all I just tell myself someone "up there" is rooting for me.

Okay now my take on the whole matter of results, first of all I hate whoever that freaking suggested the idea to put a huge ass - behind grades. Because seriously having a few A- and having some people react to it as if its a D sucks big time. Secondly to all the school teachers of mine I love you guys but seriously do you have to act that SHOCKED that I scored in your subjects though I understand my school add maths teacher probably deserves it because if I was her I would be super shocked too and faint after that.

So on to the deeper stuff, I cant help but wish that I was one of those students that could say " I gave it all I've got. And this is what I got". Heck i bloody envy these people yes their results might be lesser than mines some of them but they can own it. Me? I just have that nagging feeling of regret just nagging at me saying imagine if you actually put the effort into studying?! SO MY MOTO FROM HERE ON IS TO GIVE EVERYTHING IN LIFE THE FULLEST I'VE GOT TO GIVE AND WHEN I GET WHATEVER THE OUTCOME IS I'M GOING TO SAY "I OWNED IT! " :)

What My Blog Means To Me

Hey guys,

So recently I've reached a situation where I might have to shut down my blog. Though no worries thats not happening anytime soon hopefully at least I hope so after this post. You see my blog means a lot to me and I really dont see anything wrong with blogging safely which is what I do. I do know some bloggers like to stay on the edge of things and trigger a whole lot of issues and end up winding themselves in a sticky sticky mess but I'm different. None of my posts fit the bill I must say unless me talking about books that I love, and my daily ramblings count for frisky writing material.

So here goes nothing.... WHAT MY BLOG MEANS TO ME:

1) Its the one place where I can just write.

2) My blog has taught me a lot and I would definately credit it to improving my essays that I had to do for all my school exams.

3) Whatever topic of my interest like music and tv... I feel like my blog is the greatest place to vent out especially when my friends dont like the same things. Like who else am I supposed to talk about some of the stuff I like.

4) Blogging has matured me.

5) Without blogging at times there really isnt anything to do on the internet thus blogging is a healthy way to spend your time online in my opinion.

6) I write for myself when I grow old and cant remember my young days I hope this blog will bring back all those memories I'd like to relieve.

7) Loved ones like my sister who lives far away .. well she reads my blog and sometimes you know when I dont speak to her on MSN or phone then this is the only way she knows whats going on with me. And thats very important to me.

8) I have 22 followers for my blog, I currently have 2897 pageviews from readers all over the world, and yes the countless of comments from my readers who love my writing especially on certain posts. Thus I must be doing something right.

9) When I'm so bored this blog serves its purpose of de-boring me well.

10) This is one thing I have thats all mine. Just mine.

Well with all that said. This blog is so not going to get closed. It means a whole lot to me and thats it.

My First Paycheck ~ Ka-Ching!

Hey guys,
Next week is officially the end of the month and I'm getting my first paycheck! Hell Yeah! Not only is it my first paycheck but I'm the first person among all my cousins (mums side) and sisters to get a paycheck. Just the feeling of beating my elder sister in doing somethings first like this and driving instead of always being second and coming up a little bit short feels so good though it doesnt really account for anything. Anyways for those of you who wish on asking me to take you out and buy for you stuff with my firt pay I'm so sorry because my salary is so not enough to do so. I get paid RM500 for a half day job and of which I have transport both ways to and back from work because alliya's mum is like the kindest employer or maybe thats the benefit of alliya being my friend. So thats why I feel my salary is quite reasonable though when I think back of the kids I doubt it sometimes lol.

Well what am I going to do with my first salary is hard to say because I know a million and one things I so badly want to buy but knowing me and how I think before spending (a trait I dont quite fancy at times) those purchases arent going to happen. What I do know I have to do with my first salary is spend some of it on my parents so I was thinking maybe taking them out for dinner when my elder sister gets back from Indonesia. Its true you know when its you're money being spent you think and think and think honestly I feel like my parents are saints for spending so much on us sometimes or maybe I'm such a Scrooge. I bet my grandmother will be the happiest to know because my grandma is one of the best person at handling money and not overspending and I wish to be like her you know just the right balance of spending.

I am going to get my license hopefully before I go to college in March. I'm trying to claim the new Honda Civic of my dad's as my ride you know just to get him used to the idea but thats highly unlikely to happen so I guess its the old green Myvi for me. No complaints there because at least I have a car. Akka now on when you get back we dont have to be stuck at home! Yeay! As for college plans the updates are I'm probably starting in March, taking A-Levels Arts (Bussiness Studies, Econs and Law) and place is probably at Brickfields Asia College. I know when that starts I'm going to give it my all no more playing around I kinda promised myself because theres a huge dream for me on the line over here a dream that only my friends know of because they have it too and so does a 100 millions others want too so I have to work my butt off for this because I want it so badly.

Also heres another thing I just needed to vent out 7 A's gets you a brand new phone, get 6 A's just 1 freaking B you get NOTHING. Its not that I want a phone like badly or I'm jealous in any way (I'm actually superbly happy for the person that got it) but I just wanted to state that this is not whats supposed to happen to anyone that got my results because it just promotes the wrong thing dont you agree. If I was a total idiot I would learn the wrong lesson here but I'm no idiot so the only lesson I learnt here is work harder and pray for luck :)

*Cant wait for my first paycheck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

So just yesterday I finally finished reading a book that I cant describe in just words. I was at the Final Remarks part and from the start of that chapter till the end of the book I cried because I could just imagine the pain and seeing as this was a real story the pain felt just as real too but dont think that this book is just a sad, sad book because its NOT! Stress on NOT as a matter of fact some of the humour in this book will mind boggle you and the most important part of the book is the hard hitting life facts and positivity it teaches one. Anyways it will usually take me like only a few hours to finish a book that thin but unfortunately I've been busy thesedays as most of you might have noticed. My aunt actually lend me this book and to be honest I'm always a sceptic when borrowing my aunts books and this is because she reads real heavy duty books that my brain sometimes get blurred half way through but when she suggested me the book and I saw how thin the book was I was like heck I'll give this one a try and that's a choice I'm so happy I made.

So what is this book about? This book was written by a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, Randy Pausch (who was dieing of pancreatic cancer) with the help of Jeffrey Zaslow. He actually gave a lecture tittled "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" and this is what the book was about. Last Lectures are actually quite common amongst professors who wish to end their careers and it is done as a mark of the things and knowledge they would wish to share before their life ended sooner or later and what most professors do is imagine a situation where they were dieing but in Randy Pausch's case he didnt need to imagine since the doctors told him he only had a few months left to live. Randy had a wife named Jai, 6 year old son named Dylan, 3 year old son named Logan and 2 year old daughter named Chloe. So what this father of three wanted to do was leave a mark of himself for his children to remember him and to teach them all the things he would have wanted to teach them if not for the cancer so his last lecture was never intended for us if we didnt want it but belive me you will want it. The lessons he shares with his children are vey much things we human beings simply forget or just havent learned about it yet.

Above: Randy with Logan and Dylan while Jai with Chloe

Now for a few things and lessons that this book shared with me to make me feel more inspired than ever by a form of writing (in no particular order) is:

1) " If you can dream it, you can do it."

2) " Just because you're in the driver's seat doesnt mean you have to run people over."

3) " When you're screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore that means they've given up on you so you're better or having critics because often they are the ones who care about you and want to make you better."

4) " If I work hard enough there will be things I can do tommorow that I couldnt do today."

5) " Brick walls are there not to keep us out but for us to show how badly we want something."

6) " Luck is indeed where preparation meets oppurtunity."

7) " We cannot change the cards we're dealt just how we play the hand."

and the most important of all

8) " If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you." So have dreams and always believe in them but basically dont obsess about them because if you live your life the right way they will come true someday whether in one way or another because thats what Randy Pausch did and he made them all come true in his way

Above: Randy's favourite picture with his kids Logan, Dylan and Chloe

I must say the lessons I just quoted from the book is only less than a quarter of what the book has to offer. Plus there's a story behind each of these lessons pretty much, this was how he had learned the lessons and believe me the stories will really paint you a more detailed and just stunning picture of these life lessons that are so valuable. It also stuns you again at the beauty of family. So... GO BUY THIS BOOK BECAUSE YOU WILL SIMPLY NOT REGRET IT!

* When I become a parent one day I'm going to read this book again so for all the people that are soon to be parents or already are you know you just have to read it.

Hey guys,
So well I think Katy Perry is like one of the most beautiful looking person I've seen ... though how and why in the hell did she marry Russell Brand is beyond me. But if she did end up with Josh Groban I may have hated it even more lol.

* I love her but isn't it funny i love josh groban too but you know i was over the moon when the rumours or whatever they were about them didnt turn out like serious.

* And i know most people say she cant sing but the girl makes the most catchiest songs ever period and for that she deserves major credit :)

Education Fair

Hey guys,

So just a few hours ago I went for an education fair to find some answers. Yet now flash to the present back I'm sitting here in front of my computer just feeling like shit. Do keep in mind I'm not feeling well fever, flu, and exhaustion. So add all of those physical sickness to my mental problems and emotional distress you get one very very depress 18 year old. So let me explain why exactly I'm feeling the way I am and how the Education Fair played its part in depressing me.

So it all starts with my friend QM saying she's going to Taylor's for January intake as well which leads me to having to be like one less friend in my tadika job when I was suppose to go through this experience with her and we even had a plan :( Besides that the fact this depresses me as well is because I'm the only alevels taking person left out from the equation and I'm starting to doubt my choice in many ways.

Then comes the education fair which I went to with my parents. So as soon as we entered it was like BAC so to put it really simple thats where we spent almost all our time at. Because my parents are pretty set on BAC being my college and maybe I am too now just that they wanted to find out a bit more which I have to be honest we did find out a ton. First we talked to a few of the BAC students and I found out:

- There is a 2 subject fast track programme for alevels. Yes it IS possible to take 2 subjects for
alevels.

- Singapore doesnt recognise a whole lot of Law degress from a bunch of UK uni's.

- Eng Lit is really not a good option to take since the passing rate is very low in general.

- Econs is an easier subject to score than Bussiness Studies.

- By taking the fast track route I will be saving a whole load of time.

- Doing arts alevels and being a science stream student in high school is possible and is actually very good thing.

So by finding out about all the above one would think wow she must have been enlighted and just peachy but NO I wasn't the least bit. You see I had this mindset going in I was going to take 3 subjects, going to start March. My 3 subjects were going to be Law, Bussiness Studies and Eng Lit. So I'm sure my blog readers which is you are smart enough to figure out how this whole bunch of argh information was bugging my "plan".

Then came the very kind man that would probably be my future Economics teacher, well he was the one giving the info and he asked me why was I not starting in January and well I know my answer wasnt good enough since it was the part time job and just you knowing taking a little breather not that it feels like any right now. Then he asked me what i got for trials and I said 6 A's and yeap he was even more like ???!! and started mentioning how I qualify for the fast track programme. Sigh.

Thus right now I just feel like crap and blur and scared and sick and worried and just plain sigh sigh and SIGH!
* Oh also the teacher said something that I found very I dont know whats the word to decribe the feeling but it just hit like BAM in your faces science people.
" Science students become doctors, but arts students OWN THE HOSPITAL"

*Oh btw for most of you who dont know, well I'm kind of on the road contemplating Law thus all the above... god knows if I'd change my mind but for right now hmph I feel pretty set.

* Gosh yeay! I dont feel depress anymore after this ranting out :)

Part Time Job = Exhaustion

Hey guys,
So just last Monday I started my first ever working experience as a pre school teacher at a friend's mums kindergarten. Luckily I am not going to be alone because thankfully I have my friend QM doing it with me and we're both going to be in charge of 3 year olds kids. So tomorrow will be the official end to a very very tiring week. On Monday I was asked to help in a five year old class since the 3 year old kids only started officialy on Wednesday. So that was a real "boom" there were kids everywhere I tell you but I was proud of myself because I so totally managed to handle them well and by the next day some of them were practically my bff's.

So yesterday came "the" day when we had our class the 3 year old's and some of them were pretty impressive while others well were a bit busy crying or being too quiet. Anyways there was this kid name Zamyr and he coloured a picture with crayons and coloured everything inside the line practically a 3 year old Picasso, while another kid named Rayyan knew letter A-Z and he could sing the song and the best bloody part the kid could recognise which letter was what. Please do not forget these were 3 year old's well some of them weren't even 3 yet seeing as to their birthdays were only in the later months!

Funny things that happened were when I was playing play doh with Rayyan and a really really cute kid named Josh and I was making a pizza for them. At first I was wondering why were they so quiet when I finished making the pizza then I heard salivating sounds from them and boy was I shocked. Josh and Rayyan both had their faces so close to the play doh pizza and their eyes were wide open. Lol and I was like "No, No, No you both are not going to eat that". And they both were like ohhhh in dissapoinment.
Well thats all I have for now. I must say this part time job I have taken on is SUPER tiring but for some reason working with kids just I don't know I feel this feeling of my part time job being a job where I'm learning a whole lot and gaining a million experiences.

I LOVE Josh Groban

Hey there,

Yes you read the tittle right I a 18 year old girl am totally and madly in love with Josh Groban and yes I mean the Josh Groban that only has mostly cougars loving him. I mean like is everybody totally blind or are they totally deaf or what because I really don't have a single clue on why in the hell is this guy still single. Is handsome, funny, adorable, nice and having a super soothing voice not do it anymore? Because hell I am confused like whats wrong with women thesedays like the hollywood ones at least since I know us real females out here don't have a standing chance and all but whats the females in hollywood's excuse??! Heck does everyone want some rockstar which smokes which does drugs and probably will cheat on you a million times so much better than a honest nice guy?
Well I'm really flabbergasted like this proves how women thesedays think and also proves what some person said on Oprah, he stated that the problem with women who are attracted to these rockstar probably going to beat you up guys is that these women think they are going to be the ones that change this rockstars to become some guy next door and he said it's never going to happen period and the faster these women realise that the lesser abuse cases we will have in this world.

Anyways this post is about my love to Josh Groban not about how stupid some people are for not going after him. Honestly like if I was living in US and all or somewhere near I would not be here right now typing this and instead I would probably be outside Josh Groban's house stalking him. Sigh but I guess thats what you get for living in Malaysia sometimes ...and the fact that Taylor Swift would rather go to Singapore instead argh! Moving on I have always been a fan of Josh Groban for quite sometime and well you could say I was a in the closet supporter for quite sometime. Heck what could I do? All my friends were into rockers or korean bands or pop and rap well i love all that kind of music too but Josh Groban's music just speaks to me.

I remember last year when a friend of mine was in a bit of a dump. Well it was actually both of us in a dump because we wanted something so badly and just didn't seem to be getting our hands on it (we have yet to by the way). Anyways at that period of time I was listening to this particular Josh Groban song You Are Loved ( Don't Give Up) and I shared it with my friend and she was hooked on it too. Maybe it was just because the lyrics at that time and even now means a lot to us. Just the simple fact of not giving up, when he sings about it..... I believe.

Okay so thats all I have for now but before I leave heres something funny I found on tumblr and just explained exactly how I feel posting this to you guys right now

* Come to Malaysia Josh!

Happy New Year!

Hey you,

Happy New Year! Well 2011 is starting off to a great start so far for me I just passed my driving theory examination I got 47/50 in ONE seating like can you believe it??! Well I'm thankfull that I passed it now for the driving part I guess which to be totally honest I'm scared out of my mind for. I always thought I was a brave person but after the "jump in the pool" incident I'm starting to doubt my courage. Of course behind that fiasco was my swimming instructor a man with a big smile but please don't be fooled by that because you could technically say he drowned me a few times literally. Like who in the hell pushes someone into a pool a million times anyways I can swim thanks to him but I promise I shall never jump into a pool for the rest of my life at least on my own will.

So with the brand new year approaching I have a long list of things to be achieved. I'm not going to reveal all in this blog because some of them are pretty personal but amongst the many are driving, starting college, ace'ing all the exams I have to sit in college, getting a scholarship, saving money, and of course posting more posts on my blog for all you awesome people out there who have been listening in to my crappings. So there's a little bit of my new year resolutions.

Oh by the way I've read a ton of zodiac horoscopes and what not but I can't help but to laugh because every year they say the same ol' thing yet nothing of such ever happens period. Well I still like reading them though. As the saying goes you can never have enough hope in your life.

Well bye bye 2010! Move over for 2011 and hopefully time passes a bit slower this year! :)
Also good luck and may all your resolutions be achieved to my little crappers!

Inner Peace

Hey guys!

Well I'm back officially! :) Yes it took me ages and all but I wanted my 120th post to be about something that meant something to me. So for me i guess right now at this point of my life Inner Peace is a big thing. I have read articles and have had a ton of people telling me what they think inner peace is and how can it be obtained. Though i must say with all of these thoughts on the subject I have come to realize that inner peace is something that varies amongst different people. For some inner peace is obtained by seeking and praying, for others inner peace is obtained by doing whatever they want that brings them the most happiness. So when i came to this conclusion I started thinking what does inner peace mean to me?

Well for me I guess inner peace means that I have rid myself of worrying about petty stuff and being a person that is fully satisfied by all God's givings. With knowing what inner peace means to me I must admit I haven't reached it but what i do know is that now that i have this realisation in me I definately am on my way. It has occured to me before why do I keep worrying about the smallest of things and overthink almost every matter of my life. Also I remain thankfull to god i have to say for all that god has given me like perfect health, a great family, a roof above my head, and just for the sun shining outside my window but maybe it comes with the fact of me being young and not wise enough when i think of the luxury in this world that I may not have and wish I could have.

Some say it is human to never be fully satisfied but I want to be the exception. So I hope when I grow old and before death comes knocking at my door that I have achieved Inner Peace by then.

My Schooling Experiences Wrapped Up

Hey guys,

So i was just like thinking yesterday night about everything you know. The deep thoughts like the hard lessons I've learnt through out my schooling years, the way I've changed personally, my views on life and the people I've met in my course of schooling. Yes i am officially a Malaysian that is DONE with school. Of course theres college and university to look forward but I prefer to not categorise that as "school".

I still remember my primary school days. I had a friend called Yen Yen and i knew her since tadika. She stuck through with me and she taught me a lot she probably taught me that best friends and real friends will stick with you even when you are in the worse condition in your life. Then standard 5 came and i can't quite remember how it all happened but i got close to my first crazy bunch. Najihah, Shakirah, Fasiha, Nadzira, Diyana and Zulaikha a.k.a The Nuts. They were probably my first gang and the amount of ridiculous things we did were countless. Do you guys remember the kinda Burn Book thing?.... and boy can you guys even forget our nicknames and all the crushes you guys had lol. They taught me to be myself in a way I guess its thanks to them I got more open as a person and I was on my way. Unfortunately i also remember that September 2005 as well when we knew inside each of us it was time to part.
below: The Nuts! ( I even had an afro back then damn i was cool!) and Yen Yen, me and Manjira.
Then form 1 came in a brand new school, new people, new environment. It was a start from scratch kind of thing. I remember being nervous yet i was super hyper and friendly it was scary and that was so not me but it was good that inner friendly person came inside me because i made a ton of friends. I was close to syaza, arvin, shaun, vimal, weng hoh, athirah and now its practically like I'm strangers with these people i guess only Shaun hasn't totally bailed on me in a way lesson learnt people change, time changes things when it shouldn't. Yet I did make two best friends as well Tan Sze Yan and Alliya Fuad they were my exceptions i guess to that lesson because they have stuck with me through all the crap and I love them so much its hard to say it in words. I met Alliya the first and she stole my pen and as much as she denies it i'm sticking with my story just cause it makes things more interesting right alliya ;) Then came sze yan and can't remember exactly what we hit off on I think it was Supernatural and this girl has only gotten funnier by time and as much as she ditches us now lol i don't hate you andrea! :P
Then form 3 came and i met two amazing people Lina and Qamarina a.k.a QM ak.a Ribena apparently. They have been a blast to be with it and they truly colour my life. Lina you have been my GMTA person and all that texting I'm so sorry for increasing your bill lol. Qm i guess you have just made me laugh with your blurness and you have been there and i mean literally all "the" phone calls you know what i'm referring to so well thanks for that. Form 4 and Form 5 just bonded me, lina, alliya, qm, and sze yan tighter i guess when you go through the amount of shit we've gone through together where people you trust or thought were your friends turn their backs on you just reminds you better to cherish the ones who are true to you like you guys.

Of course they have been other friends which i have had a blast with them that is Divya Gowri, Sher Lin my hottie, Letticia (god i will never forget you!), Khairul (as much as you annoy me you are a good friend), and to all the rest of you out there which I've met on the road you guys have been awesome. Not to forget my debate family I love you people and my debate trainer and teacher who also taught me a whole bunch of things i didn't know and you could say debate made me more aware of world issues. I guess going to school for 11 years has not been a complete waste because it has made me who i am today, a stronger more sensible person. To alliya, lina, qm, sze yan i hope we don't change what we have because i have seen too many times how time makes people strangers thus I pray we pass the test of time.
Love you girls!!!

Signing out,
Sharanya :)

This What Debate Does To You

Hey ppl,

Lately my life seems to evolving around debate and well nothing else. My brains cells feel like they’re on overload mode and I’m becoming ‘ditzier’ by the second. Here’s why I say so:

Bio Teacher: Oestrogen and Testesterone hormones develop secondary sexual characteristics for respective genders. Like for guys deepening of voice and facial hair, for girls ‘memory glands’ and such

ME: *in a disbelief voice and in pure awe* OMG no wonder I can remember what happened in my childhood cos I didn’t have ‘memory glands’

*whole tuition class starts laughing except lina who doesn’t know why*

And when I said it only then I realized my teacher meant ‘MAMMARY GLANDS’ not “memory glands”

Very awkward moment seeing as too my tuition class is all girls and my teachers a guy. Yeap but well that’s the first time I saw him laugh that hard. Well I’m too tired until I don’t quite care, should just dye my hair next to blonde.

Also the same day before that I had debate practice and as usual I get P.O.I’ed by our trainer A LOT. Fell like im saying dumb things that’s why I get it the worst. Well once again not my fault. STUPID event that happened:

Me: *leaves script on table and moves to take a book to put on top o script cos the fan would blow it while I’m speaking.

*fan blows my script while I go get my book*

Aqil: *picks up my script (he’s my opponent btw in the debate)*

Me: *dramatically turns back and in full drama eye mode*
“DON’T TOUCH IT! DON’T!!!!!”

Aqil: *weirded out face but keeps picking my script* cos he’s helpful

Tim(trainer): *controls laughter like he’s just seen the most ‘kiasu’ person on planet Earth*
Lina n Qm: *Just burst out laughing*

Me: *covering up* Oh I was just joking Aqil. Thanks *feeling like someone pls shoot me I didn’t just do that*

Last stupid thing I just figured out, I think my trainer called me loud and obnoxious to my face but he meant it in a good way so I can whack a certain prawn yeap. Well that’s that im obnoxious who would have guessed i always thought i was soft spoken.

*This is what debate does to you*
*I should make a reality show it wud surely sell*
**warning don’t start to debate, cos there’s no way out**

KDU Debate Competition 2010

Hey guys,

What’s it been more than ages I suppose since I’ve blogged. Well lately life has been beyond busy. We had KDU debate comp last month and it was really a great experience and we did really well for 1st timers and all :D We ranked 17th amongst 60 plus teams and I got the 10th best speaker but didn’t get a prize because there were 3 ppl tied for 8 and a couple for 9 before reaching me. But I still like te fact though I felt I could have been better.

Let me tell you more about the KDU debate

1st round – we went against SMK Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh I think and we went for a motion thw allow homosexuality to be taught in sexual education. We won J
2nd round – we went against Sri Garden International. Was kinda like worried you could say but it turned out well funny but well. I did a stupid thing though as usual by addressing the judge a guy a madam speaker..but I was like new so honestly I thought the timekeeper was the person well wtv stupid me. We went for a motion to do with global warming and how real it is BUT WE WON

3rd round – we went against KGV. Mmm interesting I tell you cos when we saw them we were like okay another normal team. Which they were except their whip a guy named arvind he’s well not very normal and he was good. Anyways we were in a shock for our life’s the started yelling sham! Shame! While we were speaking. I didn’t let it disturb me during my speech but after the round I couldn’t control losing it. Well a great experience none the less cos we went against the ppl we got number 2 in the whole comp wit the motion thw allow prisoners to vote. We lost incase you haven’t guessed already.

4th round – we went against Hin Hua. For some reason this round we were relaxed simply ocs after all the drama in the previous round I just felt dizzy and kinda ditzy. The great part was just the night before I asked QM to prepare for politics and the topic she did even if it was about china was similar. THW apply one child policy in India. I did a stupid thing yet again by trying out wat KGV did and said “Err” during QM’s speech instead of ‘hear hear!” and not only did QM spend a few seconds looking at me instead of talking, the Hin Hua ppl just looked at me like I just had a spaz attack and the judge looked like he was trying his best to refrain from laughing. Well we won the round

5th round- we went against MGS. It was a silent round. Aqil was really tired. And yeap mgs was very diplomatic and we debated a motion thw protect the celebrities not the paparazzi. We found out that we didn’t win and we kinda expected it. The next days results for who broke came the top 16, and at that time we didn’t know we were 17 but I couldn’t help but feel awesomely disappointed. Sigh. But it was a great experience thru and thru.

* U guys are probably wondering how did I place 10 with all the stupid things I did. Hmmm guess I did more better things than stupid things
**And qm,aqil thnx 4 being awesome teammates. Lina, divya and Leticia I just love you guys so much and you make our debate family what it is :D
*** Oh yeah up next UIA AND HELP!

Manchester United vs Malaysia XI !!!!!

Hey hot ppl,

Ok now for the game part. Me, my dad, annoying younger sis, sadezsh and haemmesh (cousins) left at 1:30 and reached there 2 something. It was already packed with fans shouting singing and sharing one thing in common the love for football and Manchester United. We had to queue up outside the violet gate cos they didn’t let us in till 3 something. My dad the genius cut line and began chatting with this friendly Chinese man about football duh cos he let my dad cut him nice man really :) There were quite a lot of foreigners as well.

When they finally let us in we scrambled in to get one of the better seats where we had a clear view of the game. Then when Ben Foster came out to train the crowd went bezerks well they went bezerks for even the officials so you can only imagine how they were for the player. Awhile later Van Der Sar joined Foster and the crowd went triple crazy for him. God Van Der Sar is one hell of tall and really nice cos he came to each side and clapped hehe. People were doing the waves over and over then the whole team came out and again everyone went W.I.L.D!!! People were chanting Rooney! That was the pre-game to start hype like no other !

The game started I was one of those that was shouting for no reason. Rooney scored the first goal that was awesome…then Nani hit one in later on getting Nani fans MAD I tell u! Then Malaysia scored a beautiful first goal against Van Der Sar and I was amazed with it. The beauty of it all was through thick and thin Man Utd fans all of us are … seeing Malaysia score made us proud. Nani did his whole somersault after scoring sending the crowd mad did I mention that lol. A bunch of Indonesian guys that were sitting behind me were yelling FARIZAL Farizal!!! Who was Malaysia’s petite yet skillful goalie I had to admit. First half ended 2-1 to Man U.

Second half saw Ben Foster coming in to replace Van Der Sar. Malaysia scored again by the same person though this time it was mainly Foster’s fumble and the crowd including me went W.I.L.D again. It didn’t matter cos we were MALAYSIAN and it was a shock for everyone mainly because we expected them to get thrashed. UNBELIEVABLE! Then Ferguson asked 4 players to warm up cos he was going to send em’ in… Fabio,Brown,Owen and one more whose name is slipping in my mind now. Anyways they were warming up in front of my place it was crazy I tell u we all went crazy.

A quite old Caucasian man stood up and yelled “OWEN I LOVE YOU!!!” and we all cheered him! When the players were substituted in the crowd went wild for OWEN I was one of them yelling “OWEN LOVE YOU!” The game was in a draw and it was a nail biting session cos I wanted united to win lol. Then Ferguson asked Macheda and Giggs to come out to stretch and again the stretched in our side we were yelling our lungs off… and MACHEDA waved at us and we waved back!!!! Ahhhh he waved at me lol! Then Owen scored the final goal in superb style… making it his first for Man Utd. Ending the game in a 3-2 to Man Utd! WUhoot!!!

Nani throwed his jersey though not at my side and it was really a good experience watching them play Live! Loved every minute of it the whole bonding with strangers over one common love was way cool! Missing Vidic still but at least one of my to-do list have been checked which is watching Man Utd on home ground :D And I think I’m in love with Macheda XD

** Next STOP OLD TRAFFORD!

**Rooney we Love u!

** and LONG LIVE THE RED DEVILS BABY!!!

Ur No. 1 Fan,
Shanya

I LOVE UNITED <3

My baby for life MANCHESTER UNITED!

Hey guys,
Guess what!!!! Yesterday I watched Manchester United play against Malaysia and the day before I watched them train thanks to Lina! (Love u lots) Before I proceed just have to say how much I was disappointed that VIDIC (which is my favourite player long before people even started noticing him) didn’t come. I was already ready to paint signs and banners to greet him… kinda planned to jump over to the field. So yeap I was sad :’(

Training :
Anyways I went to the training with Lina (Chelsea fan but seriously who wants to miss the chance to see English football that we both are oh so crazed bout). We went and the stadium which was quite literally packed just to see the red devil’s train. We stood the entire time to get a better view and shouted, did the Mexican wave, sang part of Glory Glory Man Utd. and shouted
more. It was so cool cos I think we stood in the more “sporting” section of fans.

Johnny Evans was oh so hot hehehe lina thinks so too then again footballers on literal are very hot! Hmmm saw all the team mates even VAN DER SAR!!! YEAY! The best part was when Rooney came everyone was shouting ROONEY! ROONEY! ROONEY! Including me and I know why we did so because after Tevez and Ronaldo left he was still with us it showed his loyalty and for that WE MAN UNITED FANS LOVE HIM from the bottom of our hearts basically!!!

I really hoped there was going to be a fan meet session but after seeing the crowd I kinda knew it was pretty impossible. Watching the training session got me all pumped up to watch the game so check my next post for what went on in the stadium game! It was 2 die 4 XD

*I need to watch/see vidic b4 I die

Glory!Glory!Man United,
Shanya ;)
